Canada Company began in May 2006, at the height of the Afghanistan conflict, with a pledge to stand shoulder to shoulder with our troops for the sacrifices they make every day. As champions for our soldiers, Canada Company strives to protect the legacy of our soldiers and leverage their unique skillset and experiences to improve our nation.
The organization has since grown to over 600 members and become an influential voice advocating for our troops at home and abroad. Through scholarship programs and charitable endeavours, Canada Company supports military members and their families across Canada.
Canada Company has established a reputation among senior military leaders, media, and members of the business community for fostering a meaningful exchange between the Canadian Armed Forces and the corporate world. Created by Canadian businessman and Honorary Colonel, Blake Goldring M.S.M., LL.D., CFA., Canada Company is the only military charity to be listed as a Four-Star Charity, as rated by Charity Intelligence.
Serving Canada’s Military, Their Families, and Our Veterans
Founder Blake Goldring and our many donors had a vision to provide the children of the 158 fallen soldiers in the Afghanistan conflict access to post-secondary education.
Since 2007, the Scholarship Program fund has grown to over $3 million and expanded to include children of military members who took their lives, attributable to military service.
In addition to supporting our Canadian military members and their families, Canada Company serves to recognize our troops and their service to our country. Through the Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV) III Monument Program, over 30 monuments will be installed across Canada to proudly commemorate fallen military members and their families.
When we started Canada Company in 2006, we were driven by a deep appreciation for the selflessness of our military. We wanted to protect the legacy of military families – providing children of Canadian military personnel killed in the line of duty with scholarships. Our appreciation for the military continued to grow and that’s when I started thinking that we could do something, something bold, something to champion our soldiers and help all Canadians benefit from their unique skillset and experience.
