As we forge ahead into fall, Canadians are enjoying the cooler temperatures and beautiful trees as colours begin to change with the season. While we may still be in pandemic mode, there are many exciting things afoot at Canada Company.

This year, against the backdrop of deeply troubling events in Afghanistan, the 14th annual Canada Company Scholarship Presentation Ceremony was held virtually to recognize this year’s recipients and remember the ultimate sacrifice their loved ones made while serving in the Canadian Armed Forces. We were honoured to hear from guests Chris Hadfield, General Wayne Eyre, and Chief Petty Officer First Class Gilles Grégoire as well as from 2021 scholarship recipient Katherine Bobbitt, who spoke on behalf of this year’s recipients and shared what the scholarship has meant to her.

We are preparing more programs and virtual events, including the unveiling of more LAV III monuments across Canada in remembrance of the military members who lost their lives serving in the War in Afghanistan. Stay tuned for more details. As always, we will continue to serve the brave men and women who put service before self.

14th Annual Scholarship Ceremony

2021 Scholarships Recipients

Since 2008, Canada Company has proudly awarded scholarships to the children of our men and women in uniform who lost their lives in service to our country. To date, Canada Company has granted scholarships totaling $770,000 to 74 recipients from 39 families to help offset the cost of their post-secondary education.

Congratulations to the 2021 Canada Company Scholarship recipients. Thanks to our donors, bereaved students can continue to pursue their educational dreams.

2021 Cadet Bursaries

Each year, usually 30 dedicated Cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers are selected to receive a $1000 bursary to use towards tuition, learning pursuits, and more. This year, due to the COVID situation over the last 18 months, 26 Cadets and 10 Junior Canadian Rangers will receive bursaries. The Cadet recipients have been announced and the JCR bursaries will be awarded in October 2021.
