On April 23, 2015, Canada Company Quebec Chapter held the Con Forza fundraiser at the 2nd Field Regiment in Montreal. Over 60 members and friends were in attendance to meet BGen Luis De Sousa, deputy Commander of the 2nd Division.
The Armoury of the 2nd Field Regiment was dressed-up with a giant 15’x12′ RESPECT banner from the fall poppy campaign last year. Col Richard Garon delivered a passionate presentation in honour of the 100th anniversary of the 2nd Battle of Ypres, in which the forefathers of the 2nd Field Regiment fought so valiantly.
Nathalie Drake and Dwayne Cormier of the MET program were on hand and worked the room with Col Marc Richard, our partner at the CFLC. Also present were our partners Treble Victor’s Branch President Benoit Suire and former Commander of the RMR John Shone. The evening raised over $15,000 in support of the First Annual Con Forza family day to be held this July 1st at the La Ronde amusement park. Six Flags, the owner of the park is offering 50% discounts and free lunches to 5,000 service people and their families for the event.
