On Fri Jun 21, Canada Company hosted 16 teams at CFB Borden for the 2nd Annual Operation Executive Precision Shoot. Teams of four players competed in four stands (rappel tower, C7 and pistol range, and challenge course) over the course of the day with a wrap-up awards BBQ held at the Base Borden Officers Mess to recognize winners. In the VIP category a team headed by Gen Fred Lewis (Ret’d) took first place. Four soldiers from CFB Borden led by MWO Hood won the trophy for the Military category. The Civilian category was won by Captain Steve Clarkin and his team from OpenText with second and third place going to teams from FedNav and Metro Supply Chain Group.
The event kicked off Thursday night at Nottawasaga Inn where participants enjoyed dinner, a silent auction and a presentation by ex-NHL enforcer Troy Crowder as he described his “Enforcers for the Forces” organization and showed a video about his tour of Afghanistan in 2008. OEPS is an opportunity for civilians to experience a day in the boots of a CF member and raise funds for the Canada Company MET program. Thank you and congratulations to all participants
