The Canada Company Scholarship Fund was given a boost on November 10, 2011 with a donation of $7,500 made by the Canadian Emergency Services Boxing Association (CESBA). The cheque was presented to Peter Hart, Canada Company Managing Director, by CESBA president, Barry Dolan and Toronto Police Constable Joey Hicks at Toronto Police’s 55 Division.
The generous donation was raised in a police boxing tourney that was held at Fork York Armouries between Team Toronto Police and Team GTA Police on November 3, 2011.
“The event supports our veterans and raises awareness of the dedication, commitment and sacrifice of the Canadian Forces and their families,” Dolan said. “It brings citizens, the military and law enforcement communities together.”
