On Thursday Oct 6, 2011 at CFB Petawawa,·HCol Blake Goldring of Canada Company gave Kim Hetherington, Director of the Petawawa Family Resource Centre a cheque for $15,000. General Peter Devlin and members of Canada Company were on hand for the ceremony. The money will enable the centre to construct an outdoor playground “Jungle Gym” to support physical fitness activities for the kids on the Base. “We can never get funds for capital purchases so this makes this donation very special to us,” Ms. Hetherington said after the brief ceremony.
