Operation Pasqua – Easter Season 2011 Delivery of Lindt Chocolates to Military Families

During the Easter season of 2011, Canada Company members of the Ottawa Chapter, Paul Hindo and Chiko Nanji, demonstrated their commitment of “Many Ways to Serve” by organizing a delivery of close to 600 cases of Lindt chocolates to the families of soldiers serving their country overseas. The deliveries took place at CFB Petawawa, Ontario, and CFB Valcartier, Quebec, through the Military Family Resource Centres. To ensure all loved ones of soldiers deployed in Afghanistan were part of the distribution, Lindt provided special products to: parents of soldiers who are not married; soldier’s partners with no children; and partners and their children.

A special thank you goes to Rudi Blatter, president and CEO of Lindt Chocolates, whose generous donation made this possible. Huge credit also goes to LCFA, and in particular its commander, BGen Fred Lewis for mobilizing the resources necessary, and insuring the smooth conduct of this operation.
