1st Annual Canada Company Golf Tournament (2009)

On Monday June 8, 2009 Canada Company held its first Annual Golf Tournament at Devil’s Pulpit in Caledon, Ontario with Gen (Ret’d) Rick Hillier as the guest of honour. Rod Black, noted Canadian sportscaster, called the golfers to carts, after which Michael Burgess sang the National anthem and then a true “Shotgun Start” let the golfers know the tournament had begun.

The evening reception kicked off with a video message from Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), General Walter Natynczyk and was followed by an outstanding meal.

Money raised from this fantastic day is to support the March Break Camp for children of deployed troops run by BGen JC Collin, Commander, LFCA. Special thanks to Canada Company member Bruce Bowser and AMJ Campbell for hosting the tournament and The Skyhawks for a magnificent performance during the reception.
