Speaker Biography

Major General Stephen Cadden has been involved with Army training for 34 years, and is responsible to ensure that Canada’s Army is prepared to fight on the modern battlefield. He will share his experiences in leader training, succession planning to develop senior leaders for the future, and how the Army seeks to reinforce traits that professional military forces – and successful businesses – seek in great leaders. Civilian organizations do not face the same imminent threat that military leaders do. However, the principle of distributed leadership, which is really at the core of military doctrine, is very much applicable to today’s business world.
