Spring is always a wonderful time of year as leaves blossom, daylight hours grow longer, and spirits are high. We\u2019re hopeful that good things are ahead now that restrictions are being lifted and we can come together for more in-person activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the world slowly reopens, Canada Company is planning for a busy year, and hope to have guests participate in Experience Days with our Army and Navy, join us for the 15th Annual Scholarship Presentation Ceremony, and be there to witness the installation ceremonies of LAV III monuments. The Play Hard Fight Hard Exhibit we are sponsoring will soon resume its tour of the country, and we look forward to expanding some of our programs to make them even more accessible to those who benefit from our Many Ways to Serve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All in all, 2022 is shaping up to be an exciting year, and this is thanks to your continued support. I hope you enjoy this snapshot of our accomplishments, and have a marvellous season, full of sun, fresh air, and new beginnings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scholarship Program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Since 2007, Canada Company has awarded scholarships to the children of the men and women who lost their lives in service to our country, or to suicide attributable to their military service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To celebrate 15 years of helping them follow their dreams, we\u2019ve raised the scholarship amount from $4,000 to $5,000, starting with the 22-23 academic year. We are also adding post-graduate scholarship opportunities to help our beneficiaries pursue more advanced learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are planning to hold our scholarship ceremony live and in-person in Ottawa this August. Our inaugural Russell Dinner will take place the evening before the ceremony for scholarship recipients and guests. Visit our website<\/a> for more details as they become available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers Programs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once again, this summer we will award 35 bursaries to members of the Cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers (JCRs), adding to our previous 81 beneficiaries. These bursaries recognize youths who exemplify attributes of leadership and citizenship and are motivated to pursue post-secondary education, vocation, or other learning opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, our new program to support Junior Canadian Rangers facing financial challenges is off to a promising start, with eight JCRs having received support funding so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eva Papak Annatok, Junior Ranger of the Quaqtaq Patrol, received a $2500 bursary to help her community of less than 500 inhabitants by purchasing sports and arts equipment for her school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camps for Children<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With summer just around the corner, we\u2019re pleased to announce that we will continue to support Camps for Children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every year, Canada Company provides financial support to allow children from military families to attend summer camps across Canada. It gives these children a chance to enjoy fresh air, let go of their worries, and have some fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je Me Souviens<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our educational program continues to grow in popularity as teachers and students look for more virtual learning tools. Je Me Souviens teaches about the special roles Canada\u2019s military members have played during wars and conflicts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
