Canadian Forces personnel are highly trained and receive professional development opportunities throughout their careers. There are over 100 occupations in the Canadian Forces and the CF provides extensive education and training to become proficient in an occupation.

Why become an Employer Partner?

As an Employer Partner you gain access to a highly trained and skilled pool of talent. Every year approximately 5,000 individuals transition out of the Canadian Forces (CF); leverage their strengths in your organization and make the best use of their skills, experience and capabilities.

Take part in an Employer Orientation and receive your CF Friendly Employer Partner Designation. Learn what you need to know about hiring form the military. 

There are differences between the military and corporate environments. The Employer Orientation will provide insight and the tools you need along with simple strategies to recruit, onboard and retain transitioning CF members.

• Rank Structure and the civilian equivalent
• Translating military skills into civilian qualifications
• Cultural differences between the military and civilian workplaces

The session will assist you in valuing and understanding military experience. It will be your first step in being able to leverage the strengths of CF members and position them for success in your organization. In turn you will develop a reputation as an employer of choice and attract top talent from the military community.
