H Col Blake C. Goldring, M.S.M., LL.D., CFA is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and a member of the Board of Directors of AGF Management Limited, one of Canada’s premier investment management companies with operations across Canada and subsidiaries in Europe and Asia. Mr. Goldring is Founder and Chairman of Canada Company and a member of The Canada Company Scholarship Fund Oversight Committee. In 2011, Mr. Goldring was named the first-ever Hon Col of the Canadian Army.
Bruce D. Bowser is President and C.E.O. of AMJ Campbell Van Lines, and previously held various management positions with the Bank of Nova Scotia from 1985 through 1992. In addition to being a member of the Executive Committee of Canada Company, he has served on several Boards, including the National Club, Atlas Canada, The National Ballet School of Canada, Hope Air, The Credit Valley Hospital Foundation, Mississauga Board of Trade, Georgetown Hospital Foundation Board, and is Past President of the Teen Ranch Foundation, Halifax/Dartmouth YMCA.
William Braithwaite is a Senior Partner in the Toronto office of the national law firm Stikeman Elliott LLP and a member of the firm’s Partnership Board and Executive Committee. Mr. Braithwaite practices primarily in Mergers and Acquisitions (M & A) and has represented a wide range of corporations, boards of directors, and institutional shareholders. He has also represented governments and regulatory authorities on policy and other initiatives. Mr. Braithwaite is a member of the Committee and Secretary of The Canada Company Scholarship Fund Oversight Committee.
Steve Gregory is the President of the Quebec Chapter of Canada Company and the founder of the Operation Husky 2013 project. He is the CEO of IsaiX, consulting firm specializing in sales performance management and coaching. IsaiX uses their Sales Constancy™ model with its unique training methods and systems to deliver high performing sales cultures in their client organizations. IsaiX has offices in Canada, the United States and England. IsaiX client list includes over 200 prominent international firms and global brands in Financial Services, Technology and Health. In 2008, Steve was voted TEC speaker of the year in Canada and in 2009 he was inducted into the Canadian Pharmaceutical Marketing Hall of Fame.
HL Col Tim Hogarth is the President & CEO of Pioneer Energy LP and its associated group of companies. Pioneer is the largest private independent petroleum marketer in Canada with annual revenues of $2 billion and over 300 retail locations across Ontario and Manitoba. Pioneer is recognized as a Platinum member of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies program. Mr. Hogarth also serves as the Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel of The Royal Hamilton Light Infantry regiment. He is a former Vice Chair Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation and YPO Toronto Chapter Chair and serves on the board of the MerryGoRound Children’s Foundation as well as various other charities and boards.
Alex Jurshevski is the Founder of Recovery Partners and has more than 20 years of experience in investment management, M & A and advisory work. Recovery Partners offers Principal Investment and Risk Advisory Services in the area of distressed assets and turnaround management. During his career, Alex has been involved in over US$40 billion of financial restructurings and over US$20 billion of primary transactions.
Major General (Ret’d) Reginald W. Lewis, CM, CMM, CD is the former Honorary Colonel of The Royal Regiment of Canada and a decorated military officer. In civilian life, he has been the President of the Parking Authority of Toronto and also Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Toronto Economic Development Corporation. He has held the office of Chairman of Defence Construction Canada Ltd and is currently Director, Parc Downsview Inc. He has served as a judge of the Citizenship Court. Reg Lewis held the appointment of Special Advisor to the Minister of National Defence (1997-2002) and also served on the Minister’s Monitoring Committee. In 1986, he received the Order of Canada and was made a Commander of the Order of Military. MGen Lewis is a member of the Canada Company Scholarship Fund Oversight Committee.
Garfield Mitchell is a private investor and corporate director, currently serving on the boards of Viking Gold Exploration Inc, Barwest Enterprises Limited, and Killarney Capital Corporation, among others, as well as a number of charities and foundations. Mr. Mitchell is a member of the Committee and Chairman of The Canada Company Scholarship Fund Oversight Committee.
HL Col John Wright is Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the North American Public Opinion Polling Division for Ipsos, the third largest market and opinion research firm in the world with annual billings of $1.4 billion. In addition to his client work in public affairs research, Mr. Wright has been the lead media spokesperson for the company since 1990 on politics, policy and consumer trends. He also hosts a weekly radio show for Canada’s largest News Talk station, Toronto’s CFRB, called Your Opinion Counts, and is a regular Co-Host on the Business News Network (BNN) TV’s Squeeze Play. He is also Co-Author of the best seller “What Canadians Think… About Almost Everything” (Random House, 28,000 copies sold).
HL Col Kevin Reed is currently Chairman of Reed Asset Management and Chairman of Blue Goose Capital Corporation. Mr. Reed co-founded Equity Financial Holdings Inc. (TSX:EQI) where he served as Vice-Chairman & CEO from 2004 until 2009. In addition, Mr. Reed has served on numerous public and private boards including CRS Electronics Inc. and Genesis Land Development as well as various Canadian charities. Mr. Reed is also an Honorary Lieutenant Colonel with the Canadian Armed Forces.
